Checking your Huroob status is an essential step for expatriates in Saudi Arabia to ensure their legal standing. Here is a simple guide on how to check it online through official portals.
1. Check via the MOL (Ministry of Labor) Website
The Ministry of Labor portal allows you to check your status using your Iqama number:
- Visit the official MOL Portal.
- Enter your Iqama Number in the designated field.
- Enter the Verification Code (image code) shown on the screen.
- Click on the Search or “View” button.
- If the status says “Absent from Work,” it indicates a Huroob has been filed.
2. Check via the Absher Portal
You can also verify your legal status through your personal Absher account:
- Log in to your Absher account.
- Go to Services and select Inquiries.
- Choose Passports and then Public Query Health Insurance or Exit/Re-entry Visa Status.
- While these tools check specific documents, your overall account dashboard will often flag any major status changes like Huroob.
Important Note
If you find that you have been marked as “Absent from Work” (Huroob) unfairly, you should contact the Saudi Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development or visit a labor office to resolve the issue legally.
